Hosted by The TechEquity Collaborative
Join TechEquity Collaborative for a discussion about how apprenticeships impact the future of work in tech and beyond. We will be discussing the history of apprenticeships in the U.S. and how they have evolved over time, leading up to our 21st century tech economy.
As our economy evolves, so does the job market. In order to ensure that everyone is able to access good jobs, we must adapt the pathways and training opportunities to support a 21st century workforce. We’ll explore how implementing apprenticeships within tech can lower barriers to entry, best practices for successfully building these programs, and of course, public policy opportunities at the state and local level.
This panel discussion will be moderated by TechHire Oakland's Kirsten Lundgren. Panelists include:
Vinz Koller, Senior Strategist at Social Policy Research Associates
Patrick Mitchell, Tech SF Program Manager at San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development
Manisha Priyadarshini, former apprentice and full-time Github employee
Shalini Agarwal, Director of Engineering at LinkedIn
